Our process begins with meeting you, our customer, to discuss your options, plans, and wishes for boat customization. With a combination of your direction and our experience, a strategy is formed.
Hull Materials and Design
Your hull material is our first consideration. For a fiberglass hull, we consider the original build and characterize the type of hull; for a wood hull we analyze the method of construction. Based on the existing materials, and the intended new additions, a design is put to paper, either by the architect of your choice or by our own design professionals.
After the initial consultation and planning is in place, we are able to present you with an estimated cost and timeline. Patten's offers various payment options, time frames, and warranty coverage for each project.
With a plan in place, construction begins on your craft. Patten's Yacht Yard oversees the purchase of materials, ensures quality control throughout the work, and keeps the lines of communication open by establishing regular meetings to report project progress.
Once the effort is complete, our work is tested with a trial at sea before returning the craft to you.
